Working in partnership with parents and carers

We know that parents/carers are the most important people in their child's life. Therefore, we aim to form a strong link between School/Childcare Centre and home by involving parents/carers as much as possible.

From the moment children start in our setting, staff work very closely with parents/carers to ensure that all the childrens' needs are being met. Parents/carers will be introduced to their child's Key Person on the first day and together they will complete an 'All About Me' sheet. The staff team will share information with parents/carers on a daily basis in respect of their child's learning and development.
 

We now create 'Learning Journeys' for each child through a software programme called 'Tapestry'.  By logging on with a secure username and password you will be able to view some of your child's observations, photographs and even video from their time in Nursery.

We want parents/carers to feel comfortable to ask questions and/or seek advice about their child. Parents will have opportunities throughout the year to discuss their child's progress with the staff and can ask to look at their child's Assessment Records and Record of Achievement folders at any time.
