School of Sanctuary Video

We have been awarded 'School of Sanctuary' status.

We are very proud to have been awarded School of Sanctuary status by Liverpool City of Sanctuary, for our inclusive practice in supporting our children and families both within and beyond school. This award is extremely important to us, as it recognises the work we do to celebrate all of our wonderful differences and ensure all feel welcome and inclusive at Ellergreen Nursery School and Childcare Centre.

As a school of sanctuary, we strive to provide a place where all feel safe, included and are welcomed. This means we will work hard to ensure all of our children are happy, are able to access learning opportunities and feel safe. We commit to support our families, children and staff who may be seeking refuge within our city and we celebrate our country's rich cultural legacy and the contributions made by individuals who have sought sanctuary within our great city.
