Broadening Horizons. Brightening Futures
ICECATS is a programme that we use in school to help support staff and children to learn how to respond to an emergency or an evacuation and lockdown procedure. The ICECATS programme is designed to teach from the ages of 2 years plus to adults how to respond in worst case scenario situations for lock down and evacuation in line with the national strategy 'PREVENT'.
In school we teach the children, in a safe and age appropriate manner, how to respond to emergencies and in particular any emergencies we may experience in school. The children learn in a fun way enjoying playing games, learning the ICECATS song and learning basic movements and responses.
