Broadening Horizons. Brightening Futures
It’s also World Nursery Rhyme Week (11th–15th November 2025) — a global celebration that highlights the importance of nursery rhymes in early childhood development. Throughout the week, we’ll be taking part in the “Rhyme-a-Day” challenge, exploring a different rhyme each day to support language, literacy and social skills through fun and music.
We’re also excited to welcome parents and carers into class to join in the fun:
🎵 Monday at 11:15am and Thursday at 2:30pm, when the children will share their favourite rhymes from their Song Bags.
To round off our wonderful week, we will be celebrating Children in Need on Friday – a lovely way to come together for a great cause while enjoying themed activities across the day, including having a teddy bears picnic.
It’s going to be a week full of smiles, songs, and special memories.
Next week promises to be a fun-packed and exciting time for everyone at Ellergreen! We will be continuing our learning around Owl Babies as we prepare for our special visitors on Tuesday — a wonderful opportunity for the children to meet and learn about real birds of prey up close!
