Welcome to Ellergreen Nursery School and Childcare Centre’s website.

I hope that by visiting our site you find all the information you need about our Nursery School and Childcare Centre. I am very proud of the high-quality early years education and care we provide for children aged 2 to 5. Our dedicated staff team work hard to create a nurturing, stimulating and exciting learning environment where every child feels safe, valued and inspired to learn.

We are delighted that our Ofsted inspection (June 2025) recognised our nursery as an exceptionally nurturing and inclusive school where children are happy, confident and form strong bonds with caring staff. Inspectors praised our early identification of children’s needs and our close work with specialist services. Children with SEND are fully included in our classes, with staff carefully adapting teaching so every child can access the curriculum and achieve well.

Ofsted also highlighted our ambitious, well-planned curriculum, our strong focus on language and emotional development, and the wide range of experiences that inspire curiosity and confidence. Clear routines and high expectations help children feel safe, behave well and grow in independence.

We are proud to be a warm, inclusive nursery where every child is supported to thrive and is exceptionally well prepared for the next stage of their education.
