  • Welcome Back

We hope you have all had a wonderful half-term break and enjoyed some sunshine, adventures and special family time together. โ˜€๏ธ

We are so excited to welcome the children back to nursery next week and begin our final half term of the year. We have lots of exciting learning opportunities, fun activities and memorable experiences planned, and we can't wait to see all of the smiling faces back in school!

๐Ÿป Story of the Week: Nothing Can Frighten a Bear ๐Ÿป

Our story next week is the wonderful Nothing Can Frighten a Bear by Elizabeth Dale.

The children will be joining Bear on his woodland adventure as we explore the story through play, creativity, discussion and investigation. We will be talking about what Bear encounters on his journey and discussing whether anything can really frighten him!

    ๐ŸŒŸ Our Special Words

We will be learning and using some exciting new vocabulary:

    โญ Frightened
    โญ Deep
    โญ Stuck
    โญ Wriggle

Can your child use any of these words at home?

๐ŸŽจ What Will We Be Doing?

Throughout the week the children will enjoy:

๐Ÿƒ Woodland and forest-themed creative activities

๐Ÿ” Shape hunts and sensory investigations

๐ŸŽญ Story retelling and role play

๐ŸŽต Singing songs and listening games

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Rhyming activities and language games

๐Ÿ˜Š Talking about feelings and emotions through our Zones of Regulation work

โœ๏ธ Fine motor activities to strengthen fingers ready for early writing

๐ŸŒณ Exploring and learning in our outdoor environment

As always, our learning will be led through play, exploration and the children's interests, helping them to develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.

    โ˜€๏ธ Sunny Weather Reminders โ˜€๏ธ

If the warm weather continues, please remember to:

๐Ÿงข Send your child with a named sun hat.
